Vintage Baseball
Ain't no ball like #VintageBaseball 'cause in vintage baseball the fans can make outs by catching foul balls. pic.twitter.com/mltMNlT7wq

GoodNight
My son fell asleep listening to the dulcet tones of @gregwrubell calling #BYUHoops domination. #GoodNight #BYUSN pic.twitter.com/1vurfhmi4y

Senior Night
In case you didn’t know, Thursday night was Matt’s last game at the Marriott Center as manager, so I asked Greg Wrubell via Twitter if he could give him a shout out on the air. His response:
@CVFreeman I'll do it! Matt is the man.

And he did! In case you missed it, here’s the audio from his pregame segment about Senior Night:
So congrats to Matt on being involved in a big way with BYU Hoops, and thanks again to Greg!

How Rebounds Work
So, for my brothers not on the twitter, Kirk Goldsberry of Grantland.com did a cool analysis of where rebounds go, depending on where on the court the ball was shot from, according to 95,000 rebounds as tracked by the NBA’s new SportVU system.
There’s an analysis of how rebounds work, along with a really cool interactive feature where you move your mouse to different points on the floor and it will automatically show you where those shots end up getting rebounded.
Check it out!
Relative Finder
So, inspired by Steve’s post, I made an Extended Freeman Family group, so if you and your spouse both join, you can see how closely you’re related (if you dare)! Ex. Andrea and I are 9th cousins, 4 times removed.
So you (and your spouse) should hover over “Groups,” and select “Find” and search for “Extended Freeman Family.” Then click “Add,” and it will ask you for a password, which is “Freeman” (case-sensitive). Then go to “Relatives” and select the applicable box and “Show Relatives” to see how closely-related you are.
Happy Father’s Day!
Happy Father’s Day, Dad!
Thanks for everything you have done and continue to do for our family, and for your continued example of hard work, service, dedication and faith.
We Love You!
P.S. And Happy Father’s Day to all you brothers, too.
Freebie for American History buffs
I received a link to this freebie audio download page all about Benjamin Franklin–it is put together by The Homemaker’s Mentor (a Christian group that makes and sells various homeschooling curriculum and tips and ideas for keeping a good home and raising kids with good values).
It looks like some good stuff–there is a range of stuff applicable to different ages.
Will and Trish, maybe your kids would like this or you could use it to supplement some of your curriculum for this coming year? Also Justin and Laurie? I saw this and thought of Malachi!
This download is ONLY available through this Saturday the 21st! So hurry if you want it!

The Plunge
Jacob and Elsie are big fans of the Nasty Nasty Nasty Plunge, and last night, Milayna started doing it, too.
But I was thinking, when did this originate? Who came up with it? And I seem to remember that we used to do it at the river? Which of you older kids remember the details?
