Good luck today to our littlest brother Matt and the rest of the Camp Verde Cowboys basketball team as they head up to St. John’s for their Regional Tournament. Mom reports that they are already headed to the State Tournament (which starts next week) and that the rest of the Regional Tournament is only to determine seedings for State. Matt is coming off a team high 20 point performance as the Cowboys were able to hold off Williams (do they still have the striped warm-ups) last night 52-45 in their first round Regional match-up.
Safe travels, hopefully we can get a sideline report or two.
With all the latest publicity and activity surrounding the Brigh-Ands, it’s amazing that boy even has time to lace em’ up. He sure puts on a show on and off the court!
So here’s your update, even though I didn’t go. They lost on Friday to Pinon by three. Thye played Red Mesa on Saturday and won by 17. They got a number three seed for State and play Bisbee this Thursday 2/16. If they win they play on Friday, win that they play Saturday, win play Monday, win they are in the championship game on Saturday the 25th. Good Luck!!
