So, here it is 12:40am and we just pulled the kids out of bed for the second time tonight as the tornado sirens went off again. They went off earlier about 10:40pm. We’re all camped out in the living room with the weather radar on the TV ready to move to the hall at a moments notice if we need to. We decided to just have the kids sleep in the front room tonight. There have been a couple funnel clouds but nothing that has touched the ground… yet. This tornado warning is supposed to expire in about 10 minutes, but we have another round of this predicted to hit us again at around 2am. I’ll probably stay up as long as there’s a chance of bad weather, the tornado warnings are off and on but we’re under a watch until 5 or 6am. Ashlee is trying to sleep with the pounding rain and thunder going on along with the sound of the play by play weather people in the background on the TV and she just popped her head up and said, “All I heard them say is nasty and nasty and nasty winds.” It’s pretty funny, Becky is on Facebook with a lot of her friends in the ward as it seems most of us are all up watching the radar and wondering how we’re going to make it to church in the morning.

Heh, we dragged ourselves off the living room floor this morning and headed out to church only about an hour late. On the way we were commenting that there was little evidence that such a big storm rolled through last night. Then we pulled up to the church with an empty parking lot. I guess northern Ann Arbor is without power.
That’s crazy. So did they cancel church and not tell anyone, or was it just unofficially canceled because no one came?
Wow, I heard about the tornado warnings in Michagin and I remember thinkin “They have tornados in Michigan? Really?” Glad to hear you got through it unscathed, although it would have been cool see one touch down.
