Cass’ Car

Great news everyone. I have a car! It is a 1984 Honda Accord that I got from a co-worker’s boyfriend. Dad actually paid the price of $250. Of course, once we got it home and took a good look at it we noticed a few problems more than the water pump we had been told about. We first changed the front driver’s tire because it had a tear in the tread. Next, Dad changed the busted water pump. While he did that, I changed the oil and filter, my first time ever, and help flood the brakes. As of right now the battery is dead so the car doesn’t run and I can’t get it registered but I HAVE A CAR!!!!! (Pictures coming soon)

A Pioneer’s Life

Yo Ho, Yo Ho a Pioneer’s Life for me!
We walk and we ford and we fix wagon wheels,
Drink up me hearties Yo Ho (I mean don’t).
We camp and we sing and use flour for meals,
Sing up me hearties Yo Ho!

We don’t chew tobacco, don’t drink and don’t swear.
Sing up me hearties Yo Ho!
Hate Iowa mud but we love mountain air,
Sing up me hearties Yo Ho!

We’re walking cross country ‘cuz the Church is true.
Sing up me hearties Yo Ho!
When we can’t find wood, we burn buffalo poo,
Sing up me hearties Yo Ho!

We’ll push and we’ll pull if we’re stuck in a rut.
Sing up me hearties Yo Ho!
If we get really hungry we might eat your mutt
Sing up me hearties Yo Ho!

We like to use oxen, not horses, or mules
Sing up me hearties Yo Ho!
If we wanna get blessings we’ll follow the rules
Sing up me hearties Yo Ho!

We’ll walk till we reach the Salt Lake Valley
Sing up me hearties Yo Ho!
If we pushed on much farther we’d be in Cali
Sing up me hearties Yo Ho!

The trail can be rough, just like the terrain,
Sing up me hearties Yo Ho!
When we get to Utah we should build a train
Sing up me hearties Yo Ho!

Yo Ho Yo Ho a Pioneer’s Life for Me!

Brigh-ands Debut!

In honor of Joseph Smith’s 200th birthday, we are pleased to announce the release of a new pioneer song written by Chris, Josh, and Steve: “A Pioneer’s Life.” It is a heartwarming tale of an arduous journey wrought with peril that tries the faith and hearts of man. And women. And (time permitting) children. The tune is “borrowed” from a popular Disney theme park ride that was semi-recently made into a movie. Here is the artwork for the album and the words to the #1 hit that has been hailed as “simply ahead of our times” and “A Jorb Well Done!”
